  • The Artist's Word

    "Les épures" is the result of a fusion of the passions of designer Loïc Poudoulec and cabinetmaker David Voisin, who initiated and produced the project. These wooden sculptures, most of them in solid mahogany, are inspired by the great names in the automotive world.

    The difference is between 0 and 10% Gloss for the MATT finish, as if the wood were untreated, around 30% for the SATIN finish and 100% for the HIGH GLOSS finish with polishing, with reflections as if a pane of glass were covering the sculpture.

About the artist.

David Voisin embodies the very essence of French craftsmanship, combining tradition and innovation in a craft where wood becomes a work of art. Born in 1975 into a family steeped in bodywork know-how, he has always worked with wood.

From an early age, David was imbued with the ancestral skills inherited from his father, who was a bodyworker and key modeller. His passion for wood, chiselled over the years, reached its peak when he was honoured with the Oscar for contemporary creation by the Ecole Boulle in Paris in 1995. This award was the starting point for a career marked by success and innovation.
